Heyaaa!! I'm Nala ('Gala' in Mexico!), you can learn a bit more about me here:PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pomeranian mix Age: 11 months approx. Gender: Female Weight: 17.5lbs (8 kg) Style: 10/10 Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - My start to life was not the best as my sister and I were abandoned as young puppies by whoever was supposed to be our furever family. We were found in the city of San Sebastian el Grande, Tlajomulco where it gets way too hot and rough for a puppy like me to make it outside (I'm meant to be a pampered pooch okay?!). Although my sister didn't make it, I was able to survive and even flourish in my foster home. Now I'm SO ready to find a new furever home that will promise to love me the way I deserve!TEMPERAMENT - I am an affectionate, social and playful pup who uniquely gets along with EVERYBODY (I mean dogs, kids, cats, you name it). Right now I enjoy spending my days playing with my foster siblings of the doggo and hooman variety alike, and I am the perfect balance between energetic and calm. Some of my favourite things are plastic bottles, plastic lids, and eating mangoes with my hoomans while we all get cozy in bed (see what I mean about the streets not being for me?). ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - Sometimes I can be full of beans as I am still a puppy, however I'm also used to staying put in a room with other dogs while my caregiver works long hours. I'm an adaptable girl. GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes I get along with kids as you can see here . Dogs – Yep!! I get along just fine with other dogs. Cats – I think I may be part cat? I'm very calm with them as you can see here . PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am working on my leash skills as you can see here , however I will need some additional patience and training. House trained – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Crate trained – No, I will need some training and patience. Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain) to offer adopters one training session at a rate of $25. Any subsequent sessions will be offered at a rate of $50. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed and vaccinated. Note: As a pom-mix, my hair needs a little *maintenance* so I need to be brushed once a week. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.
