Dakota was a cute puppy who didn't stop growing. She was expected to be a small lap dog for an elderly woman who uses a walker. Her owner was heartbroken to have to give her up but knew it was best for her. So she could find an active family that could give her the exercise and socialization she craves. She is a sweet, playful girl who is friendly with people and has plenty of energy to keep up with an active family. She was living in an apartment and is crate and pee pad trained. She is smart and learning at a good pace so is already learning to hold on and go outside. She is young and still has some puppy tendencies such as grabbing things she shouldn't have and making it into a game. And she hasn't had much experience walking on leash or exploring the big outdoors so would benefit from someone willing to take time acclimatizing her to new things, providing positive reinforcement training and socializing her.We are not sure of her age and breeding but she's a mix and may have some Shepherd and Labrador weighs 22kg and is likely less than a year old. She has all her core vaccinations and will be microchipped and spayed prior to finalizing her adoption.Her ideal home would be someone:- who has the time to expose her to the new things at her pace- that is home more than not since she is accustomed to that and will help with her transition to a new home and environment- willing to invest in positive reinforcement training so she learns to walk confidently on leash and socialize her with strange people and dogsIf you are interested in meeting her or possibly adopting her please fill in our online adoption application.
