Description:

Hi kind people. My name is EMILEE (Emily) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Saluki/Anatolian Shepard mixAge: 8 moGender: femaleWeight: 40 lbsHeight: tbdHighlight(s): smart, quick willing learner, seeks pets I can be silly and funny, but I am smart too. Bet I could learn all kinds of tricks. When I was just a tiny pup, something bad happened to me here in the Middle East. My paw got hurt, and I was all alone by the road, feeling really sad. But guess what? A super nice person saw me and called my rescuers for help. They came like superheroes and took care of me. They fixed up my paw, and I started feeling better. Unfortunately, one of my toes had been injured and they couldn't save it.I am not in any pain and am totally fine walking and running, but I do pick up my front leg sometimes, as you can see in my videos: https://youtube.com/shorts/1wL75mW0S2Q?feature=share. The vet has attested that I will have no issue with my paw for the rest of my life.Because I'm a bit smaller and kinda shy, they didn't want me to go back to the tough street life with the big, strong dogs. So I am currently staying at a recovery center. You'll find me not only a fast learner, but a willing one too. That should make me easy to train. I enjoy engaging my brain and pleasing you. While I can be just a bit shy, I love to be petted. In fact, I will initiate it. I just have so much love to give. I hope you are waiting to have love lavished on you.If you have another dog or even a kitty, no worries, I get along with others: https://youtube.com/shorts/nO1ge9XxPqQ?feature=share, https://youtube.com/shorts/h1gH5KsqOLU?feature=share. Though no video proof, my rescuer has stated I am good with kids too.I can jazzed up for doing things and also chill out at home. It will be so nice to take some leisurely walks, some fun beach runs, some snuggle time, some hiking, some lovey-dovey time, ok, I think you get the hint. Outdoor activity time, homebody time, I love it all. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: house & a bit if leashLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: missing one toe on paw.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.##2004674##Adoption processWe offer a foster to adopt program for adopters of overseas dogs. As they will be taking their dog home straight from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit. In the rare times the dog isn’t found suitable we will find the dog another home.
