Adopt REDDI (Mid-East) kt - arr. 09/23 a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Australian

Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

I can get on a flight Sept 23rd, if I have an approved home. Greetings, my name is REDDI (Arad) and here's a bit about me:Breed: Australian Shepherd mixGender: MaleAge: 1 yearWeight: 18 kgHeight: tbdHighlights: eager to learn, energetic, cuddly, bit shy, curiousReddi for an awesome dog? Then check me out. I'm a snuggly, well behaved boy. When I was about 5 months old, my rescue mom found me on the corner of the street. She took me to the vet. I was so weak and injured. They tried hard to help save me. After a few weeks my rescue mom noticed something unusual when I was walking or jumping. She took me to the vet again, and after they got an x-ray of my hips, they noticed my hip had been broken in an accident. It fixed itself naturally, but not properly. My vet in Iran says I don't need surgery and I can live like this for the rest of my life.My mom didn't stop there. She asked one of her friends in Canada to share my x-rays with more vets and ask about their opinions. The vet in Canada said I can have a common surgery, and then I will play and jump like other dogs without any special care and pain. Isn't that wonderful? Now, I just need to get to Canada.I am currently living with my foster/rescue mom with 3 other big dogs, and I am getting along very well with them. As you can see in my photos, I love being close touching them. Also, tested with cats and while mildly curious, I pretty much just ignore them.I love car rides. I am not aggressive nor do I growl at all. I don't touch anything on the table, even though they smell good. I am not jumping on the bed or couch as my mom's partner doesn't like.So really, I am quite the good boy. I'm easily trainable, as I am eager to learn, clever and curious. I can be just a wee bit shy in the beginning.I do have a decent amount of energy, heck I'm young yet. So hoping we can find fun adventures. I am leash trained already, as well as housetrained. I am an entertaining pup, who will bring you laughter. I am also cuddly and will give you licky kisses.I'd like to say REDDI or not, here I come, but I don't have an adopter yet. So are you REDDI for me?Trimming vid: https://youtu.be/Rj5rNilKtxA . Please seek consult should this behavior arise.Fears: I am scared of big stones. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: yesLeash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House Trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: My hip was injured in an accident. It healed naturally, but not properly. A basic hip surgery (called an FHO) will correct things for the future (LALDR is currently fundraising to help.) My ears have been cut off.Not yet neutered as his surgery has not been confirmed, as they want to ensure it will be okay with my hip. Neutering is required before my adoption can be finalized. Unless neuter occurs prior to arrival, it will be the responsibility of the adopter.I have been vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1756774##
