Meet Lovely Nina. She is in urgent need of a home of her own and family that will care for her as she recovers from leg surgery or unfortunately we will need to delay her surgery. She was found stray in the Hamilton area and was transferred to us from animal services so we could find her a forever home. She is a sweet girl who is looking for a home of her own. One of her favourite things to do is play with a big ball or loud squeaky toy and engage her humans in play. Nina has an abnormal gait and can be stiff when she gets up. Our vets have recommended leg surgery. EHS will take care of her medical bills and be available for support through out her recovery. But in order to do the surgery we need a home where she can be kept calm and quiet and a family that is willing to take on her rehabilitation. The vets believe her quality of life and mobility will be greatly improved following surgery. She walks well on leash and has mastered some basic obedience skills and is willing to learn more. We don't know anything about her past so we are not recommending her for a home with young children or other pets. She will make a wonderful family dog.She will be spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her core vaccinations prior to finalizing her adoption. Her ideal forever home would be:- a family that is willing to give her lots of attention and care for her during her recovery from leg surgery- a family committed to continue her positive reinforcement training to help with socialization and building a strong bond - a home with no other pets and direct access and few steps to the yard, to ensure a successful rehabilitation following leg surgeryIf you're interested in adopting her please fill in our online adoption application.
